About Me

I am a 5th grade teacher at PK Yonge D.R.S. PK Yonge is a department of the College of Education at the University of Florida. Fifth grade is part of a larger Learning Community of fourth and fifth graders.

I have a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education with a focus on Educational Technology from the University of Florida. I have collected a myriad of exciting and useful ideas over the course of the last 5 years and am looking forward to sharing them with others. I am also a little obsessive about looking for more ideas to use in the classroom. I particularly enjoy finding new ways to integrate technology into the classroom.

Hello,

For online math in the classroom or at home, you can use our website: http://www.goldstudent.com. It is an online math training program for students K-6.

We created GoldStudent to make it easier to parents or teachers to help their kids be better at math. It uses an assessment test to design a personalized study guide for each student, assign worksheets and tests, and then grades the worksheets and tests instantly online, with a good tracking tool to allow teachers and parents to track progress.

And we have recently introduced a new feature called Video Tutorial that attaches video tutorials to worksheets, for example: http://www.goldstudent.com/GS_Worksheet.aspx?WSID=17943

Please tell us what do you think.

Thank you!

Have you seen drop.io? I think it might prove useful for us this year. I haven’t signed up for an account yet, but it looks pretty cool. 😉

Cary
